ELEMENTS 101

Going to a festival isn’t the easiest and there’s a lot of information. So we put together this How-to-Elements video. In this step-by-step guide, you’ll see exactly what you need to join us! If you’re a pro already, this is perfect to send to your friends that you’re looking to bring along.

Transportation

CAR & RV:
Driving to Lakewood takes about 2.5 hours from NYC, about 2 hours from Philadelphia, and about 4.5 from Boston.

We offer on-site and off-site parking options. SEE BELOW!

BUS:
We are partnering with Bus.com for rides to and from the festival at convenient city locations. Tickets will be $39 each way from NYC to Lakewood and vice versa.

WHEN YOU ARRIVE

PARKING

This year you can choose from two options:

VIP PARKING: We’re very excited to announce our new, super convenient VIP on-site offering.

OFF-SITE PARKING: Safely park your wheels off-site and take a shuttle ride to the grounds!

In the spirit of going green, we are offering 30% off hybrid cars and 50% off electric cars! Email info@elementsfest.us with a picture of your registration. Both options are for a designated parking area of up to 18’ length.

VOLUNTEER PROGRAM

Our 2019 volunteer program gives motivated individuals interested in music festival production hands-on experience and a chance to make valuable connections! Submit an application now to bring your special offering to Elements Lakewood 2019.

As a volunteer, you could be doing anything from helping set up the festival site, to keeping a watchful eye on art cars, managing activities to helping guests at the box office as they arrive!

Minimum work requirement of 16 hours.

Pre-show volunteer: Pre-show volunteers will work two 8-hour shifts prior to the festival and all pre-fest volunteers will be done with their work requirements before the festival begins Friday afternoon. Must be able to come on site on May 21. Pre-fest volunteers are only available to returning volunteers and are extremely limited in number of positions. Your best bet if you are returning volunteer and want one of these positions will be to get your application in as early as possible.

Show volunteer: Show volunteers will work two 8-hour shifts during the festival. Must be able to come on site on May 23.

WHERE:

Lakewood, Pennsylvania - Elements Lakewood is located at a sprawling summer camp property with a blue lake, hidden forests, green fields and rolling hills. The best address to use is 85 stockport road.

Warning that you will likely lose cell service the last 30 minutes of the drive, so please screenshot or print out directions to make your trip as easy as possible. Please use these directions.

Every vehicle entering the Attendee Parking must have a PARKING PASS ticket.  Please PRINT your PARKING PASS ticket before leaving or have it saved as a screenshot on your mobile device.

WHEN:

Memorial Day Weekend; May 24 - 27, 2019

  • Our Attendee Parking opens Friday May 24 at 6AM and closes on Monday May 27 end of day.

  • Here are the Box Office hours:

    • Friday May 24 10AM - Midnight

    • Saturday May 25 10AM - Midnight

    • Sunday May 26 10AM - 8PM

BOX OFFICE:

The first thing you will see will be three tents.  Box Office for Camping Attendees and for those purchasing tickets, Cabin Tent for Cabiners and Will Call for Media, VIP & Guestlist.

Festival wristband must be worn at all times.  Wristbands void if tampered or removed.


RAIN OR SHINE:

Elements Lakewood is Rain or Shine.  In the event of the occasional sprinkle, we've got you covered - literally!  We will have plenty of covered spaces and indoor areas including indoor late night stages.  Under dangerous/severe weather occurrences, the festival retains the right to suspend the event or evacuate the festival grounds in favor of everyone's safety.  


ALCOHOL POLICY:

  • NO GLASS ALLOWED!

  • NO HARD LIQUOR!

  • Each attendee may bring the following:


    • 12-pack of 12oz Beers
      OR

    • 1 sealed box of wine (1.5 L or less)

  • Single Day Tickets holders may NOT bring any alcohol.


CAMPING:

  • Where is camping in relation to the festival?  GA Camping is located within main festival grounds.  These camping areas will be cleary on the festival map.

  • Is there Car Camping?  Yes. We have limited car camping available

  • What time may camper’s enter? Campers may enter at 10AM on Friday May 25 and must depart on Monday May 28 at 12PM

  • How big are camping plots? Space up to 10x10 is allocated per person.  Size accommodates most medium-large tents + a small EZ-up.

General Store: Basic convenience items will be available for purchase.

 

CAMPING DO’S AND DON’T’S

WHAT TO BRING:

  • Tent: Functional tent (testing at home is always smart!) with rain fly, zippers, all the poles, and all the stakes.

  • Sleeping Bag, Sleeping Pad, Pillows, Bedding, Extra Blankets!  It may get cold at night, please bring extra sheets & blankets to make sure you stay warm!

  • Camping Chairs, Small Easy-Up, or Overhang for your campsite

  • Decorations:  We encourage you & your group to decorate your campsite.  Please keep in mind to leave no-trace at the end of the weekend and ensure that all decorations are sustainable.

  • Toiletries:  Shampoo, Toothpaste, Toothbrush, Deodorant, and anything else to stay clean & fresh!

  • Coolers:  Each person is allowed (1) cooler up to maximum size of 54 quarts.

  • Water & Non-Alcoholic Beverages: Each attendee may bring no more than 1 gallon non-alcoholic beverages, 2 gallons of sealed water..  Free water refill stations will be available inside the festival. To be green we suggest utilizing our water refill stations or we encourage gallon water jugs.

  • Food: Food for personal consumption is allowed.  We will have plenty of delicious food vendors onsite plus our Meal Plan.

  • Ice:  Bring ice for you and your friends. There will be Ice for sale at the General Store.

  • Wagon: We suggest you bring a wagon or cart for your belongings if necessary!

SHOWERS AND BATHROOMS?

Yes, Showers for campers are $5 and tokens will be available at our Mis-Information Booth.  Port-a-potties will be onsite at the campgrounds.  We suggest that each person bring toiletries and a roll of toilet paper.

CABINS

  • Do not SMOKE in the cabins. Non-compliance will result in immediate removal from the festival.  We mean it.

  • Can you Park by your Cabin? No,

  • Does my Cabin include festival passes?  No. Every person staying in cabin must have purchased either a 3-DAY GA PASS or 3-DAY VIP PASS

  • Is there Electricity?  Yes!  

  • Does my cabin have a lock?  Yes!  (Please see below for more info)

  • Do cabins have kitchens?  No, some cabins may have small fridges but are not guaranteed. 

  • What kind of beds are in the cabins?  All cabins have twin sized beds, some are bunk and some are not.  

  • When will I know which cabin I've been assigned?   At Check-In.  Cabiners the exact cabin assignment will be given at the at check in.

WHAT TO BRING:

ADDITIONAL CABIN INFO

  • Send the names and the emails of everyone staying in your cabin to cabins@elementsfest.us

  • All the doors will have locks.

  • Each person staying in the cabin will pick up their wristbands from the Hospitality Check in next to box office

  • The individual who purchased the cabin will have to sign a waiver and will be given keys to his/her cabin upon their arrival.

  • The lead purchaser will be required to provide a deposit of $150 (can be in cash or a credit card hold)

  • You must return all the keys at the end of your stay and leave the bungalow undamaged, in order to get your deposit back.

  • We are not responsible for any lost or stolen items. Please do not bring any valuables with you or leave them in your car if you must.

CENTER CITY & GENERAL STORE:

  • Center City: We’re excited to introduce Center City - located in the heart of the festival - you will craft vendors galore, food vendors, live music, meet up spots and seating for sharing a meal.

  • General Store:  Basic convenience items and camping essentials will be available for purchase.

  • Merch Store: Our Merch Store will have a whole new line of official festival clothing as well as artist merch for purchase.

LEAVE NO TRACE:

While you are here to have fun at Elements Lakewood, remember you are within a community of peers & a local neighborhood with permanent and seasonal residents.   We maintain a "Leave No Trace" policy. We request that all attendees and guests are respectful, civil, polite, do not litter, and please arrive and depart the festival, Lakewood Retreats, and surrounding areas quietly and peacefully.

ATTIRE:

Closed Shoes encouraged. Otherwise be you! We love costumes, colors & everything about you!

AGE: 18+ To Enter, 21+ To Drink

FESTIVAL INGRESS:

By entering the festival property, you automatically consent to a search of yourself and your possessions before entering the main festival grounds.  You will be searched each time you enter the festival grounds. Licensed security personnel will conduct a search of your person and your bags for prohibited items, and if deemed necessary by security, at their discretion again once inside the festival.  If you are found with any of the items on our prohibited list, the items will be confiscated, and you may be refused entry to the festival and/or removed from the grounds.

WHAT IS ALLOWED:

  • Creative Totems: We love creative (and safe) things, please just respect the people around you!

  • Hoops: We love hoops, but again, please respect the people around you!

  • Bathing Suit: YES - you can swim in the lake!

  • Empty Camelbacks & Water Bottles: There will be a water refill station.

  • Parasol: there will also be plenty of chill shade areas

  • Rainboots or Like:  Elements is Rain or Shine but being prepared is always more fun!

  • Roller Skates: There is a Roller Skating Rink! 

  • Cameras: You can bring a digital camera or GoPro and take as many photos as you want however *professional cameras & commercial photography* are NOT allowed. (Professional cameras are classified as cameras with removable lenses.  For official press accreditation, please contact daniel@elementsfest.us)  There is no flash photography allowed.

  • Small/Personal Propane  Grills are allowed.  Limited 1 16oz propane canister.  

**PROHIBITED ITEMS**

  • No FIRE

  • No Fireworks

  • No Firestarters

  • No Firearms

  • No Firespinners/Poi

  • No Fireands

  • No Firebuts

  • No members of Chicago FIRE football club

  • No FIRE

  • No glass of any kind

  • No hard liquor

  • No weapons of any kind (regardless of permit)

  • No pocket knives or leatherman's regardless of the size of the blade

  • No paint or markers of any kind

  • No illegal substances, yes we're SERIOUS

  • No drugs or drug paraphernalia *Prescription Medication is allowed ONLY in the the Prescribed Bottle with proper label to person to the person its prescribed to*

  • No compressed air tanks of any kind

  • No whistles

  • No laser pointers

  • No flyers, stickers or posters

  • No drones

  • No animals of any kind.  *Service animals with proper vest are allowed* Please note that animals may NOT be left at the Parking Lot.  If they are found - proper steps will be taken with the local authorities.

  • Any other items deemed as annoying or posing a threat to the safe enjoyment of the partons
